He was born on 17 March 1920 in the Gopalganj Mohokuma. His father’s name was Sheikh Lutfur Rahman and his mother’s name was Sayera Khatun. He was an intelligent boy from his childhood. He took his primary and secondary education in Gopalganj. After that, he got admitted to Kolkata Islamic College and achieved a B.A. degree in 1947.
